03/18/2010 Effective 12/16/09, an inmate may order books from any legitimate vendor. The institution will only accept NEW books (paperback or hardback) and must be shipped directly from the vendor. All orders must be prepaid. All orders must be mailed or shipped by a legal carrier (postal service, UPS, etc.). No books will be accepted from entities such as Amazon.com, EBay, etc. official document
04/05/2010 As of February 7, 2010 there will no longer be a list of vendors who you must order from. As of this date, the vendow must be a legitimate vendor, and only new books will be excepted [sic - MIM(Prisons)]. Either paperback or hardback will be accepted. No rpirals of any type will be excepted [sic - MIM(Prisons)]. All books must be shipped directly from the vendor, and must come by way of 1st class mail from a legal carrier such as USPS, UPS, Fed-Ex. prisoner
