The right word for this film is "irreverent," but irreverent on behalf
of an old romance culture plot. A princess decides what is inside (psychologically) is more
important than outside; a donkey meets up with an ogre and together
make a friendship in a judgmental world. Perhaps most significant for
our purposes, a large female dragon makes forceful advances on a small
male animal. On the whole, we can live without this film. It's only redeeming
value is that other fairy-tales are even worse.
