Wesley Snipes plays a Black action-hero cutting down white vampire enemies
with the help of white allies. Although the sequel is even more action-packed
than the original, the political message got lost.

In "Blade II," even the bad guys kill drug dealers and blood-suckers. Despite
such subtleties, we still have lots of consideration of inter-species fighting 
and solidarity.

A pure-blood vampire princess falls in love with the hero eliminating her species's
existence. In the end, she brings suicide to herself, her father and potentially
her blood-sucking species in recognition of her father's evil and the superiority
of Blade's character. The father was creating a "Master Species" instead of Hitler's
"Master Race." Whether positive moments attacking racism when someone recognizes truth
outside of family, clan, nation and species outweigh the negative impact of
"Blade II"'s gore seems questionable. We give "Blade II" a neutral rating.
