This is an archive of the former website of the Maoist Internationalist Movement, which was run by the now defunct Maoist Internationalist Party - Amerika. The MIM now consists of many independent cells, many of which have their own indendendent organs both online and off. MIM(Prisons) serves these documents as a service to and reference for the anti-imperialist movement worldwide.

This article has become necessary because of recent denials by the RCP=U$A that it distributed flyers and made special efforts to spread homophobia. Discussion board persynality Flyby said, "there were no leaflets against gays handed out by the Revolutionary Union either."

The truth is that homophobia was not something just encountered if people went to an RU/RCP=U$A meeting or bookstore. This is something they went out there and actively propagated.
Imagine going to wimmin's movement organization meetings and raising the topic of how gays and lesbians are anti-working class--in the united $tates no less with its non-existent white proletariat. Imagine that fully five years prior, Huey Newton of the Black Panthers came out (1970) and said he was over his previous persynal problems with gays and that the people need to get over theirs too. Imagine that the FBI had spread rumors that Huey Newton was gay in order to split the BPP and isolate it from Black people. Imagine then going out and spreading homophobia. Imagine going to the trouble of attending the meeting and getting your chance to speak, and that is what you say. Afterwards, you strut around saying your leader Bob Avakian is more advanced than the Black Panthers were. You have imagined the Revolutionary Union, the predecessor of "Revolutionary Communist Party."
Now imagine that with references to this available right on the Internet, you deny that RU was that aggressively homophobic --"there was no flyer" --and you expect to get away with it. You have imagined the RCP=U$A of 2005.
Too bad for the RCP=U$A, we have reached the digital age. Lies about political activism are not as easy to spread as they used to be.
