I understand the amount of effort and self-sacrifice needed to raise the consciousness, and develop true understanding amongst the sleeping masses. So is my task here! A ceaseless and never ending struggle to overcome the opportunism and self-destructive tendencies.
The youngest of those coming into the belly of the beast indeed have the will to fight – albeit internal and self-conflicting. While many of the older generation (those not locked in the SHU for political activism and organizing) have laid down into a compromising position, an illicit affair with the administration and the system at large. Which leaves my generation, those of middling age (33), experienced enough and maturing into a broader understanding of the struggle, its aim, its purpose, its interconnectedness with ongoing struggles workwide, and the tool for analyzing the facts. This generation is at a crossroad – still pulled (in some respects) by the residual effects of the lumpen activities, recently grown from, slightly hesitant to push forward, in light of the threat of a life time in the SHU (as placed upon many, if not all, of the older generation with the will to educate and agitate the people to struggle).
In the words of George Jackson: "Settle your quarrels, come together, understand the reality of our situation…that people are already dying you could have saved, that generations more will die or live poor butchered half lives if you fail to act. Do what must be done, discover your humanity and your life in revolution. Pass on the torch. Join us, give up your life for the people…take care of yourself and hold on…"
I concur with these words! There is nothing more important (at this time, more than any other time in history) than the repair, resurrection, unification and liberation of the Black nation! Not my health, my wealth, my freedom, nor my very life can compare to this righteous objective. I will not stop struggling to reach, teach, motivate, educate and agitate the people…to stand, stand you mighty nation, you can accomplish what you will!!!
