Seneca

The Seneca nation exists surrounded by New York State. It has an ongoing battle with New York State which sometimes acts contrary to the U.S. Constitution which forbade states from interfering in inter-state commerce or relations with other nations. The Seneca are trying to get their treaties with the white man upheld. The New York State government's incentive to defy the treaties is tax revenue it says the Seneca owe for trading with New York Amerikans. It would be like New York State trying to charge a sales tax in Berlin.
